Mr. Ameen Thana
Our Chairman Mr. Ameen Thana is a passionate leader who built Sinostar into global multinational company with offices in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, YiWu, India, Peru and Dubai and created famous brands including Voyaguer, HegoToys, HegoSonic and HegoStationery.
Born in Koothanallur, a town in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, Ameen relocated to Hong Kong in 1987 to join his father Mr. Abdul Wahab who ran a successful electronic and diamond trading business in Hong Kong Soon after arriving to Hong Kong, Mr. Wahab introduced Ameen to his friend who was then owner of one of the largest computer manufacturers in South Asia. Under the guidance of his father's friend, Ameen started work as computer technician in Hong Kong. Ameen’s keen eye for detail and process oriented working style was recognized by the company and Ameen was promoted to Lead Technician within few months of joining the organization. This close interaction during his early formative years of career with his father Mr. Wahab, stirred the passion of entrepreneurism in young Ameen’s heart.

Early Life and Inspiration
In 2005 decided to leave the role of employee with a multi trading companyand started his own company. And Sinostar Asia was born. Over the last 16 years, with Ameen’s focus to provide the best customer service and world-class quality products, Sinostar has built business with global companies including Walmart, Li & Fung, Office Depot Mexico and others big supermarkets in South America.
Ameen is a polyglot with a good command of both Indian and Chinese languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Mandarin, and Cantonese. And has working knowledge of Spanish.
Ameen is a charter Member of “Founder Toastmaster” and meets his fellow members every month to learn and improve the art of speaking, as Ameen believes that clear communication is important for any relationship to grow.
